At Hundeklinikken, we believe that the best treatment begins with a dog that feels safe.
That is why we are Denmark’s only veterinary clinic exclusively for dogs. Here, your dog will find calm surroundings, plenty of time, and a stress-free approach where trust and cooperation come before restraint.

Your first visit
Initial consultation
What is an initial consultation?
- 45 min - 1,650 kr.
When your dog is to be a patient with us, we want to get to know them before we expect anything from them.
Therefore, new dogs and owners generally start with an initial 45-minute consultation. This gives us time to get to know both you and your dog and to work together on a good plan for future visits.
The first visit is about getting to know each other
The initial consultation is generally procedure-free.
This means we don’t start the relationship with your dog by holding them down, giving shots, looking in their ears, or performing an examination they aren’t ready for.
Instead, your dog gets the opportunity to experience the clinic, the room, and us without having to perform immediately.
The consultation includes
- Reviewing your dog's history and previous experiences
- Discussing health and any physical issues
- Observing how your dog reacts to the clinic and to us
- Assessing together what your dog needs for future visits
- Creating a plan for upcoming visits

Mai Mundeling
Veterinarian
Graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 2014. Took over Ryesgade Dyreklinik in 2016 and founded Hundeklinikken. Has a special interest in dental treatment.
Katrine Hammer
Veterinary Nurse
Fear Free Elite certified. Trained dog trainer with extensive experience in dog behavior, training, and stress-free handling.
Victoire Castel
Veterinarian
Originally from France. Has a special interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Offers consultations in French, English, and Spanish.
Natalie Sommer
Veterinary Nurse
Graduated as a veterinary nurse in 2019. Passionate about dog behavior and preventive work with puppies and young dogs.
